This unique 100% recycled paper by Artway includes 50% recycled coffee cup waste. This is made possible by extracting pulp from the plastic layer of the disposable takeaway cups, which would otherwise end up in landfill. Reusable coffee cups have thankfully become very popular in coffee takeaway culture, but the disposable cups are still in circulation in vast quantities. However, it is excellent that new technology now allows them to be used for paper production! And the best news for artists is that the quality of this paper does not suffer. Quite the contrary... this premium heavyweight 170 gsm paper works brilliantly for all dry drawing media and can even take a light wash of watercolour.
